GRANDFATHER’S CLOCK WITH PHILADELPHIA WORKS. Engraved brass face is signed “Jacob Godshalk, Philadelphia”. Simple refinished walnut case with pine secondary wood. Thin molded base with chamfered corners on the lower case and a raised panel. Turned quarter columns flank the molded center door. Dovetailed flat hood has turned freestanding pilasters. Old restorations with some replacements and originally had feet. Brass works is missing a gear for the calendar dial. Includes weights, pendulum and wind up key. 85 1/4″h.
