ENGLISH MUSICAL GRANDFATHER’S CLOCK. Walnut and oak with an old finish. Signed on the face “G. Goodall, Tadcaster”. Molded flat base with a raised panel on the lower front. Molded waist with reeded quarter columns and ornate fretwork. A band of fluting below the top molding. Door has a scalloped top and molded trim. Freestanding fluted quarter columns with ormolu trim and a broken arch top with later applied brass rosettes. Brass finials. Original paint on the face has roses in the spandrels, man in the moon, and landscape on the rotary dial. Brass works with an unusual nine graduated chimes and small music box type cylinder. Restorations to the back of base. Includes weights and pendulum. See detail on page 2. 91 1/4″h.
