GRANDFATHER’S CLOCK WITH CARVED DETAIL. Decorated face is signed “L. Watson, Cincinnati”. Cherry case with poplar secondary wood and an old finish. Flat base with a raised panel on the lower case. Finely turned quarter columns have crosshatching and relief acanthus leaves. The door has a scalloped top with old brass pull and a figured oval panel. Another small oval above. Dovetailed hood has turned pilasters and a broken arch top with flame finial. Wooden works are not original to case and has replaced wooden hands. Missing feet. Includes pendulum bob only and weights. No key. 88 1/4″h.
