Two Porcelain Clocks, fourth quarter 19th century, one an impressive Ansonia Clock Company mantel clock in a German richly gilded mirror-black pottery case in the Louis XV style in “Iris” decor, h. 15″, w. 13″, d. 5″; and the other a smaller Ansonia Clock Company mantel clock in a German parcel-gilt blue and white pottery case in the rococo taste, h. 11-1/2″, w. 9-3/4″, d. 5-1/2″; both enamel dials signed with the Ansonia “A” within a lozenge, and both dials with beveled glass covers.
Condition report
Two Porcelain Clocks: Both clocks appear to be in fine overall condition. No damage or signs of repairs to the porcelain or their dials. Both have pendulums. The larger clock is lacking the post for the back access door to latch on to.
