Unusual Ansonia Clock Company Gilt-Spelter-Mounted and Mirrored Walnut Mantel Clock, third quarter 19th century, in the Renaissance Revival style, the gilding of the spelter mounts renewed, the glass facade door with traces of the period silver stenciling, retains the period gilded cast-iron pendulum, the clock dial fully signed at the lower edge, h. 24″, w. 16-1/4″, d. 5-1/2″.
Condition report
In good overall condition. Appears to be in working order, however, we do not guarantee the running condition of clocks. There is wear to the painted decoration of the glass door. The base is not fitted with a drawer. It has a spring wire gong and a bell chime for an alarm.
