COUNTRY CHIPPENDALE GRANDFATHER’S CLOCK. Signed “R. Whiting, Winchester” on the face. Cherry with an old mellow refinishing, pine secondary wood. Ogee feet with a molded base and waist. Fluted edges with a molded overlapping door. Fine original paint on the face includes two gold and red birds with long tail feathers perched on a branch in the arch. Gold and red spandrels. Wooden works with weights and pendulum. Foot facings, fretwork and finials are well-executed replacements. 91 3/4″h.
