depicting a putto terminating in rinceaux, standing under an acanthian beaded arch surmounted by a flaming torch. The round enameled dial with Arabic numerals, signed, “Mazard 10 Rue des Archives, Paris”. The clock case under an architectural portico raised on foliate columns, festooned with garlands with lion masks on either side, raised on a shaped plinth. The 8-day movement striking the hours and halves on a bell, stamped, “Havard 3634 /52”. 46″H x 18″W x 9.5″D, Circa – 1860.
