Hotchkiss & Benedict Half Column Shelf Clock: 8 day brass, weight driven movement with bell strike and a figural brass hand seconds indicator. There is a good interior label with original wallpaper lining. The 9 1/2″ wood dial is black and gold and has the makers name and “Warranted by A. Munger Patented”, Eight Day Brass Clocks, is also on the label. The movement has number 1425 stamped into it. There is an eagle pendulum with a bit of worn paint. The case is mahogany and veneer with half columns and upper door glass.
(The mirror looks like a replacement. The case exterior looks nice, but has a tiny veneer chip on the bottom door’s lower left corner. It runs, but the strike will not activate.)
38 1/4″ tall
