1830 Federal triple decker shelf clock, “Birge & Ives, Bristol, Conn”, (a partnership that lasted for only 1-2 years in the 1830s), a rare clock with Joseph Ives’ patented strap brass roller pinion movement, label states “8 day patent brass movement”, wooden dial, original gilt half and full columns with art graining, carved gilt paw feet, 37″t, 17″w, 6″d. Original finish/condition. Later carved eagle splat, (original crest/broken plaster is included with the clock).
