French Douillon rococo bronze mantel clock the ornate dore bronze figural case with outstanding foliate surround, supported by two seated maidens on a seashell encrusted scrolled plinth. The brass dial with applied porcelain enamel chapters with Roman numerals. The 8-day movement with silk suspension, outside count wheel and striking on a bell. Stamped, “Godard a Paris, Douillon 4-4 225.” One complete arbor, pinion and wheel missing from the strike train. 20″H x 16″W x 8.5″D, Circa – 1840-1850.
