Mougin, Paris, Gilded Brass-Mounted Black Slate Mantel Clock, of modified “temple” form, fourth quarter 19th century, the pediment bearing a gilded brass plaque of two flying putti centering a vase of flowers, the facade sides with gilded brass mounts of diademed female masques fronting draped pilasters, each side with a gilded boss handle-within-a-shield, the interior backplate touchmarked “A.D. Mougin/Medialle d’Or”, h. 20-1/2″, w. 19″, d. 7″.
