EMPIRE STYLE BRONZE DORE’ AND MARBLE FIGURAL CLOCK, second half 19th century, the center with an arched pedestal mounted with an enameled clock face with Roman numerals, signed Martin and illegibly, spring mechanism, the pedestal flanked by dore’ figures of Cupid and Psyche, Psyche is depicted placing a floral garland wreath on the head of the Cupid, the stepped marble base with dore’ mounts, supported on foliate and scroll feet; 41 inch height, 25 inch width (a/f damage to marble edge on side and back, corrosion to dore’).
