The square rock crystal case within a gold and black enamel rectangular frame, bordered top and bottom by reeded coral, the circular rock crystal dial with platinum, rose-cut diamond and black enamel foliate hands, rose-cut diamond bezel and white enamelled gold chapter ring with roman numerals, the outer circumference decorated with rose-cut diamonds and black enamel spandrels, a similar chapter ring on the reverse featuring a gold meandering foliate motif within a white enamel ground, the sides accented with two similar rows of coral, the whole connected to a black onyx base by a pair of black onyx arches and a central onyx bead, movement by ———-, base signed Cartier, Paris, numbered 1099. Height 5 3/8 inches. Together with a key.
