Swedish Carved Giltwood and Mirrored Glass Wall Clock, second quarter 20th century, in the Gustavian style, the colonnaded giltwood bracket with a mirrored glass backplate, the interior backplate marked “Ratt Tid/17.5 cm/ 137.4″, the glass dial cover convex, retains the brass winding key, h. 24-1/2″, w. 14”.

Condition report

This lot exhibits a combination of matte and shiny gilt wood finishes with scattered wear down to gesso or wood. Top of wooden drum exhibits some oxidation. Convex glass good with securely hinged rose brass bezel exhibiting light oxidation. Convex face and numerals good with filagree hands that appear to be original. Pendulum, chime and key are retained. NOTE: We make no representation that any time piece is in working order.
