Circa 1920 American Gilbert Clock Company 8 Day Wall Clock with 11″ Restored paper dial, Original brass time only spring driven movement, Excellent label on rear. Originally a Coca Cola Clock refitted with advertising of E.L. Wiederkehr Jeweler and was used in his store in the Sarasota downtown arcade building from 1924 until the late 60’s at 36 South Pineapple Avenue. The lower tablet states “we teach watches to tell the truth” is written on the reverse painted tablet. A copy of an article from the Sarasota News, June 1956 with historical information about Wiederkehr is included in the sale of this clock. Very good condition, has been running well. 30.5″H x 17.5″W x 5.5″D
