Great old mid 20th century Zaandam figural wall clock. The case is made of fine walnut and is in very good condition. The case is 26″ tall, and 11″ wide, 6″ deep. The clock is in good condition and works perfect, it is driven by two brass pear shaped weights. It has a 8 days movement and chimes on the half and full hour with a distinct bell chime.On top stands Atlas carrying the world on his shoulders. On top front the brass female figures represent Faith Hope and Charity. Along the top edge reads “Nu Elck Syn Sin” which is old Dutch and means something like “Now everybody gets what he wants”. The pendulum is a man on a horse, it running in a closed case.
