Large Waterbury Clock Company Wall Clock, fourth quarter 19th century, composed of turned and incise-carved walnut and eglomise in the Renaissance Revival style, the arched glazed facade door with gilded eglomise stenciling “Wm. H. Welch/ The/ Jeweler and Optician”, the interior of the case with a Waterbury signature plaque at the basal edge, h. 51″, w. 20-1/2″, d. 6″.
Condition report
Large Waterbury Clock Company Wall Clock: In overall very good condition. The dial slightly soiled. Minor chip to molding in the pediment and minor loss (about 1/2″) to top molding of the cornice on the left side. Minor wear to stenciled letters.
