Circa 1880 German Unsigned 8 Day Wall Clock with 5″ Original enamel dial with damage, Spring driven brass movement, Typical small RA Vienna regulator with newer “made to look old” added top. Whimsical Monk automata that strikes an exposed bell on the hour. Although this part of the clock is a fake ( an original would be worth thousands), it is pretty well done and has fooled many collectors over the past several years. This type of clock is often referred to as ” a Crowder special” by knowledgeable collectors.. Good condition, this is an old clock that has been modified recently with animation of a Monk ringing a bell above the case of the clock Needs cleaning. 35″H x 12″W x 6″D
