E. Howard & Co. Wall Clock, Boston, c. 1880, the walnut case with pitched cornice, full-length glazed door flanked by fluted columns, carved Ionic capitals and incised decoration, 12-inch dia. painted iron dial enclosed within a wooden bezel, with Roman numerals and signed E. Howard & Company, Boston, blued-steel hands, eight-day weight-powered movement with dead-beat escapement, Geneva stop, damascened plates stamped E. Howard & Co., Boston, silver-leafed wooden pendulum rod, nickel engine-turned decorated bob and iron weight, ht. 63 in.

Condition report

Condition: Case lacking applied incised decoration at top of cornice, 5 inch section of wooden bezel around dial gone, dial and signature undisturbed, movement complete but needs cleaning.
