Continental Carved Mahogany Wall Clock, third quarter 19th century, of tall size in the Renaissance Revival style, retains the period brass “moon” pendulum, the door glazed, the finish generally crackled throughout, h. 47″, w. 17″, d. 7-1/2″.
Condition report
Continental Carved Mahogany Wall Clock: In “as found” condition. The case is a little rough. Shrinkage cracks to the door. Crazed finish and loss to the finish on the sides. Appears to retain its original painted dial; however, it is pitted from age. The brass bob is plain with no design; has a single brass weight. Winding key is present. Interior needs cleaning.
