A short drop octagon head wall clock, time only as depot clocks typically were, this clock bears a label inside that implies that this one was a Burlington Route Railroad company clock circa 1929 (the exact origin is unknown). A label inside reads, “This clock hung by R.I. Short, Agent at Paw Paw, Illinois, April 27 / 1927. Clock a new one. R.I. Short assumed the happy duties of the agency for the year of our Lord 1924, eighth month and 28th day. Peace be unto ye.” And stamped with a Burlington Route ink stamp. Measures 24 x 16 x 4.5 inches.
