Rosewood Double Steeple Lever Spring Shelf Clock by Joseph Ives, Bristol, Connecticut, c. 1845, with painted zinc Roman dial marked Joseph Ives, Bristol, CT, two glazed doors with reverse-painted tablets, printed maker’s label inside backboard stating in part Accelerating Brass Timepieces, eight-day time and strike accelerating lever spring movement with leaf springs mounted in the base, ht. 27 in.

Condition: Replaced dial, repainted glasses, maker’s label very dark and almost unreadable, veneer repairs.
