Important Norristown, Pennsylvania mahogany shelf clock, ca. 1835, the broken arch bonnet, above an 8-day works with painted face, signed ”J.D. Custer Norristown Patent”, over a recessed panel waist flanked by turned free standing columns supported by turned feet39 1/2” h. Illustrated in the Bulletin of the Historical Society of Montgomery County, Fall, 1988, vol. XXVI, No. 3, pg. 173.
