Dunning, Burlington, Vermont, c. 1835, with turned, glazed and hinged bezel over the 10 in. dia. painted iron concave dial with Roman numerals, signed J. N. Dunning, hinged waist door in the form of a classical column, ogee-shaped door and base, eight-day time and strike movement with rack and snail strike, recoil escapement, two lead weights and pendulum, ht. 33 in.

Condition report
Condition: Dial repainted, case refinished, evidence of a wall hanger now gone, wall hanger area of backboard (3×1 in.) patched, waist door hinges possibly replaced, hands, pendulum, weights and dial plate appear period and original.
