Mahogany Pillar & Scroll Shelf Clock, Seth Thomas, Plymouth, Connecticut, c. 1820, with printed maker’s label inside “Clocks Made and Sold by Seth Thomas, Plymouth, Connecticut, Warranted if Well Used,” original urn finials, painted wooden dial with floral corners, gilt decoration and Roman numerals, lower reverse-painted glass depicting General George Washington and a thirty-hour time and strike wooden movement with two iron weights and pendulum, (imperfections), ht. 31 1/2 in.

Condition report

Condition: Inpainting on the original reverse-painted glass, both glasses are original retaining period putty, repair to object left rear foot, scrolls, finials, hands feet, skirt, tin pulley caps, weights, pendulum and other case components are original.
