wooden construction with fine ormolu mounts, dial marked “Furet a Paris” (Jean Batiste Andre Furet), and “Daudet”, works marked “Medaille D’or/Samuel Marti/Paris 1900”, paper label on back door dates clock to 1743-1789 and speculates that Daudet was the producer of the ormolu, includes pendulum, key and setting instructions, 12-1/2 in. Gilt surfaces with losses, paint chips and losses, losses to gilt borders, all ormolu appears intact, feet possibly replaced. Provenance: Estate of the Late Andrew Rowan Summers, Abingdon, Virginia.
