J.C. Brown Ripple Front Beehive Shelf Clock: in a mahogany case with a 5″ dial. 8 day time and gong striking movement. Circa 1848. There is a good interior label. Has pendulum.
(The gong sound is not proper. In 1972 it was cleaned, oiled and refinished. A darkened, but nearly complete label is on the back.)
18 3/4″ tall and running at this time.
