They come from one outstanding 40 year collection numbering in the hundreds of clocks. The consignor is selling duplicates and some early examples when he first began collecting. What is unusual about the collection is the condition. He was always interested in original Tablets even on the inexpensive clocks. No matter what the value of the clock all were chosen for their originality. All clock movements were fully reconditioned and then not run to preserve them. A few may need cleaning as they were done forty years ago. All Tablets are original with some having minor restoration except for two that were among his first clocks. All Dials are original to the clock; some having very minor restoration. The Cases have been carefully reconditioned – any veneer chips have been repaired without disturbing the rest of the old or original finish. Most of these repairs will not be evident without very close inspection.” 10″W x 20.5″H x 5.25″D. Estimated Value$3,500 – 4,000.
