Hopkins & Alfred 2-wt.shelf clock with wooden works and having stenciled half columns and splat with eagle decoration, and painted dial with arabic numerals beneath a divided glazed door which has reverse painted lower depicting the front lawn of a large building. Set upon claw feet. Original labels intact. Clock made in Harwinton, Connecticut by the Hopkins & Alfred company, which dates the piece to 1820-25. 27″ x 17″ x 5″, Circa – 1820-25.
