British, mid 19th century, finely figured rosewood case with brass inlay, enameled face marked “Hirst/Leeds”, brass works with time, strike and chiming mechanism, with key and pendulum, 19-1/2 in., in working order at time of inspection Hirst retailed clocks beginning 1849. This clock possibly made by Smith & Sons.
