Washington & Family Shelf Clock
c. 1876 George Washington Shelf Clock, Fine.
19.5″ tall x 10″ wide x 4″ deep. Includes a color print of George and Martha Washington in the lower pane of the door. Manufactured by Owen & Clark of New York, whose paper advertisement is attached to the inside of the back panel. The pendulum and weights are included, but we do not know if the “works” still work. The clock face appears to be a later replacement. Some warping and chipping of the outer veneer and missing the door handle, but still in presentable condition, and it could easily be cleaned up. A great project for the historical hobbyist — the end result will be an impressive display piece.
