A FRENCH 18TH CENTURY MARBLE CATHEDRAL AND GILT BRONZE SHELF CLOCK carved and pierced white marble architectural form case with spire top containing a chain drive Fusee movement with gilt bronze face plate. Height 20 inches. Exhibited in a later (19th century) marquetry rosewood base with glass dome (not illustrated). Estimate $1,000-$1,500
