FRENCH BOULLE & DORE BRONZE SHELF CLOCK WITH WALL BRACKET, 19TH C., H 44″ TOTAL, W 17″ TOTAL:Unmarked. French boulle and ormolu table clock with allover tortoise and brass inlay. Face inset with cobalt blue Roman numerals on white enamel plaques. Top surmounted by winged figure with trumpet and shaft while the bottom of the clock has a seated classical female with a dog. A mask surmounts the door. Raised on scroll acanthus feet. Clock measures H 33″, W 15″; bracket measures H 13″, W 17″ with the total H being 44 1/2″. Boulle on inside of clock as well. Sun form pendulum. Matching bracket having mask corners, downturned finial.

Condition report

Door key, winding key and pendulum all in a plastic bag inside of clock. Beautifully detailed and handmade clock. Mask above the door is falling out and the molding behind it has come loose; cracking, losses and repairs to boulle. Working order of the clock not known. Rf
