ENGLISH SHELF CLOCK BY CHARLES GRETTON. Bracket clock with brass double fusee works and brass face plate with an engraved silvered dial and cast cherub spandrels. The back plate has floral engraving and both it and the dial are labeled “Char. Gretton, London”. Charles Gretton, 1648 – ca 1733. Mahogany period case with replaced glass panels, two hinged doors and a chased brass top with cherubs and handle. Clock appears to be in working condition. Case has minor edge damage and added brackets to hold the clock. 9 3/4″w. 6 1/4″d. 13″h.

Condition: As described. The case is period, but may not be original to the movement. There is a key to open a lock that is extra to what is contained on the case. We do not guarantee clocks to work. Can only be shipped by Garth’s with a release.
