Empire Mahogany Shelf Clock by Chauncey Jerome, New Haven, Connecticut, c. 1845, with flat columns supporting boxed cornice and base, printed maker’s label with view of the factory and legend Patent Clocks, Manufactured and Sold by Chauncey Jerome, New Haven, Conn., single glazed door with lower transfer and painted glass depicting “President’s House”, painted zinc dial with Roman numerals, thirty-hour weight powered movement with count-wheel strike and touch mark C. Jerome, ht. 24 1/2 in.

Condition: Zinc dial is a replacement and painted by the Dial House, lower tablet with minor touch up, replacement hands.
