pediment with seated Roman soldier, clock face marked “ETE Daniel a Paris”, base with ormolu scrolls and flames, Continental, 19th century, 13-1/4 in. Works replaced with modern quartz movement, repairs to face at key holes, traces of original gilt surface, scattered light corrosion, sword, shield and hammer possibly not properly mounted, no key or pendulum. Provenance: Estate of the Late Dr. John Rison Jones, Jr., Huntsville, Alabama. All proceeds to benefit the Art Acquisition Fund, Huntsville Museum of Art.
