Cincinnati, Ohio Shelf Clock by Luman Watson, bearing most of its original paper label. In a mahogany and poplar case retaining its original grain-painted decoration; with applied half columns and a scroll-cut crest retaining their original gold stenciling. Appears to retain its original reverse-painted tablet depicting a country church with a stenciled border. Wooden, 30-hour wooden works with a polychrome-painted dial with Roman numerals and floral decoration. Made by George Mitchell for Luman Watson, ca 1825-1835; 35.5″ high x 16.75″ wide x 5.25″ deep.
