An American classic, the ogee clock, was first made popular as an inexpensive domestic clock in the 1830s, as an evolutionary growth from the earlier wooden works shelf clocks. This one is by the Forrestville Clock Company, with a label that’s tattered but surviving. These 29″ high models were the eight day type, running a week between windings. Nice mahogany veneer case.
