1830’S STENCILED SHELF CLOCK. 1830’s shelf clock with half columns and crest stenciled, two pineapple finials, carved hairy paw feet, double decker form, lower window reverse painted with British and American war ships, British and American flags, gilt acanthus leaf decorated border, center opening to view pendulum, clock face with beaded center circle and corner gilt trumpet decorations. Key wind weight driven hour strike. Marked: partial paper label: ”..Modern Improved Clocks made and sold by Riley……ting Warrent…..”. Size: 30”H, 16 3/4”W, 6”D. Condition: no weights, left front toes on feet damaged, gilt stenciling worn, lower glass panel loose, door knob worn, veneer on door has several cracks.
