Sitzendorf Porcelain Clock w/Stand: the case is from Thuringia, Germany and has a French movement by Japy Freres, numbered 15003. It is time and bell striking with a black porcelain 4 1/2″ dial with painted Roman numerals. The case is extravagant with a young Bacchus on top and other classical youth on the lower portion. All over the front there are intricate and fragile porcelain flowers. Marked in under glaze blue with the Sitzendorf trademark and also with a silver stamp bearing the trademark and “Porcelaine De Saxe D Allemagne”.

(The clock portion tries to run, but the suspension seems short. The strike does not activate. The case and stand have some chipped flower petals, but no real serious problems. A small repair was attempted on what the center figure holds.

25″ x 14″
