Gilt-bronze and porcelain mantel clock

circa 1855 by japy freres & cie

The enameled dial with Roman numerals, gilt and floral details, the movement stamped Japy Freres & Cie 1855, Grande Exposition, the drum shaped case surmounted by a bird and foliate-cast finial, the case with porcelain inset plaques decorated with musical trophies and a dancing maiden, raised on toupie feet.
H: 18 1/4, W: 11, D: 5 1/2 in.
