French “Sevres”-Style Porcelain-Set Gilt-Bronze Mantel Clock, in the Louis XVI style by Lenoir of Paris, fourth quarter 19th century, the facade set with a bleu celeste-bordered galants porcelain plaque above two small matching floral plaques, the sides with incurvate floral porcelain plaques, the white enamel dial signed in lavender “Lenoir/e Paris”, the case flanked by a pair of gilt-bronze putti in flight, h. 16″.
Condition report
Both hands are present and original. The minute hand is off because the escutcheon pin is gone which holds the hands on. Minor gilt loss and wear to the castings. The movement appears to be original The pendulum and winding key are both gone. We do not guarantee the running condition of the clocks, however, it appears that the movement is incomplete as the suspension bracket for the pendulum is lacking.
