French Porcelain Ormolu Table Clock c1800s
This is an unsigned antique French striking table clock from the 1800’s, featuring hand painted porcelain finial, columns, front panel, and face mounted on heavy ormolu (gilt metal). It chimes on the half hour. The works are stamped #928, and the clock is in working order, but has not been cleaned or serviced in recent times. Considering the age of this clock, it is in delicate but very good condition. The finial and side columns are somewhat loose, and the convex glass face cover has a small scratch just to the right of the 6. The rear left leg has been repaired in the past (please see photos). This clock stands approximately 20″H x 11.5″W x 5.5″D.
