The movement of the clock is marked H & F or T Paris with a number. The porcelain is hand painted, signed Lesueur, shows classically dressed figures in a garden setting on the vases, a romantic landscape on the back side. The handles are heads of gilt bronze or dore, the feet are stylized leaves with animal paws, probably gilt as well. The clock has a good strong hinge to the beveled glass face cover, the cherubs in the center of the face of the clock and the cherubs on the sides of the clock all match each other. The raised gold work around the clock is in really outstanding condition. The finials on the top almost resemble acorns or some form of classical nut. There is no visible marking to the porcelain, but it would be likely to be third quarter of the 19th century. No doubt French, no visible chips or cracks, some surface firing bubbles to the porcelain but overall in really fine condition. The vases measure 13 1/4 inches tall by 3 1/2 inches wide on the base, the clock measures some 17 1/2 inches tall by 4 inches wide on the base.
