French porcelain figurative clock

mid 19th century

The rococo revival base with reserves painted with floral swags and bouquets and ‘jeweled’ enamel decoration against a blue gilt enhanced ground, surmounted by a figure of a Turk on horseback, the base marked ‘Medailles d’or 1844 / F.R. Brevete / Fournisseur du Roi’.
H: 19 in.

Condition report

Condition: – Freeman’s does not guarantee clocks to be in working order
– The Turk’s head and right foot have been broken and show visible repair
– One of the horse’s forelegs has been off and crudely repaired.
– Clock face is cracked and yellowed
– Crack to reverse of base
– Old marks and scratches consistent with age & use
