French gilt-bronze and porcelain clock garniture
circa 1890
Comprising a clock and a pair of urns, the porcelain dial with reserves of Roman numerals surmounted by an orb finial with a berried knop and a portrait of a beauty below with flanking griffin mask handles, raised on a shaped base; the urns decorated with reserves of figures in 18th century costume opposed by landscapes, all on a bleu celeste ground, raised on a leaf-cast socle and shaped base.
