A THREE PIECE FRENCH “SEVRES” PORCELAIN CLOCK GARNITURE SET, late 19th C., time and strike, the clock and garnitures hand painted and gold accented with scenes of people on cobalt blue ground, the clock signed by the Artist “Petit”, gilt ormolu mounted, marked “Made in France” on back of clock case, 12 in. by 16 in. The garnitures, 11-3/4 in. ht.
Condition report
768: Heavy damage, losses and repairs to one garniture (with male portrait). Second garniture crazing, with moderate wear to metal. Clock is not currently running. Pendulum (unknown if original or not) and replacement key present. Hinge broken on access door (pin missing). Faint hairline to clock face. Clock is crazing but has no breaks, or losses. Center top metal finial repaired. Round stamp on movement – “Medaille D’Argent 1889 Imarti et Ise 759 4 8 ”
