Lot of Four Metal Case Novelty Clocks, includes one in gilt cast white metal, with enameled dials having Arabic numerals and 8-day spring driven brass movements, marked Made by the New Haven Clock Co., New Haven, Conn., U.S.A., with key, 3″ x 2.5″ x 6″ high, PLUS one Waterbury clock called Rover (Duy Ly, 2001: 496, fig. 1866), with enameled dial having Arabic numerals and stamped brass center, as well as enameled polychrome painted scene below, with gold painted finish and inscribed Waterbury Clock Co. on back, 3″ x 2″ x 5″ high, PLUS one novelty clock with finish as above and cello dial, 8-day spring driven brass movement, marked Made in U.S.A., with replaced back and including key, AND one with gilded finish and enameled dial having Arabic numerals, marked with monogram on dial and The Jennings Brothers MFG Co./Bridgeport, Conn., U.S.A. on back, with threaded key, 3″ x 2″ x 5″ high.
Condition report
All with worn finish and not working, 1st not listed in Duy Ly, 2nd is not complete, having been removed from figural base, 3rd and 4th as above. We do not guarantee working order of clocks.
