Victorian George III-style Ebonized Mantel Clock, Charles Frodsham, London, maker, late 19th century, arched case with top lifting handle, silvered dial engraved with eagle and Tempus fugit” in arch, with gilt metal side sound dampeners, on plinth base and bracket feet, ht. 19 1/2 in.”

Condition report

Condition: Case overall in very good condition with expected shrinkage near the panel on the dome; to the center of the side panels both top and bottom and to the back doors; pull-repeat cord hole on left side filled in which leads me to believe that there was some alteration either to the movement or a replaced movement; works good, though; lacking date hand; the dial inscriptions Tempus Fugit (in the arch) and Charles Frodsham / Clockmaker to the Queen / 84 Strand / London 1755. Movement inscribed Charles Frodsham / 84 Strand / London / 1755; chimes on gong.
