Presentation mantel clock in wooden box. The wooden clock case with gallery top and painted dial. The back of the clock is inscribed “Military Sports Rideau Hall Ottawa 30th April 1881 Tent pitching competition 1st prize won by Ottawa Rifles and presented by the squad to Capt. Lang in Command.” Accompanying the clock is a letter from Capt. Lang to his uncle, and another slip verifying the history of the Captain. Brass balance wheel time only movement in need of some repair. SOme damge to decorative wood turnings. Late 19th C. 9.25″H x 5.25″W x 3″D.
